If you’re looking for a really fun vacation, check out the Gran Canaria Island, which is part of the Canary Islands. Just imagine heading out the door of your hotel to enjoy a dinner show at Garbo’s, right on the island. They perform dinner shows; if you’re lucky you can catch a New York style musical. Sit down to dinner before the show and enjoy a three-course meal, as well as dessert. The evening is topped off with red or white wine, making for a pleasant meal and show.
How would you like to take an underwater excursion in a “Yellow Submarine”? You really can take a 30 to 40 minute trip underwater in a real submarine. The submarine takes off from Puerto de Mogan, where you’ll see an underwater paradise up close.
Sports enthusiasts can have a great time chartering a boat for a bit of deep sea fishing. Boats can be chartered for half days or full days. Deep sea fishing is quite an experience if you have never had the thrill. You may catch blue marlin, albacore, barracuda, Atlantic bonito, billfish or yellow fin tuna.
Who wants to take a helicopter ride? You can tour Gran Canaria in style with a private helicopter ride. It’s a great way to see everything to explore while on holiday. Flights run about 20 to 30 minutes long. You can take a tour of the northern or southern route and see the island in grand style.
Book passage on the Magic Vision cruise to see dolphins, whales and loggerhead turtles. It’s a two hour cruise on a specially built dolphin search boat, which has silenced engines, allowing you great views of aquatic wildlife. This is a glass-bottom boat that holds 30 people, touring around Gran Canaria.
The family will have a great time at a real Wild West night at the Sioux City Theme Park. You’ll enjoy a fine meal and attend one of the many Wild West shows, which may include “Indian Rain Dance”, “Town Square Hanging” or “Bank Robbery”.
